Mel Gibson Has a Gay Boyfriend

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

This is a riotous creation of NYC blogger Randy Rainbow, who imagines Mr. Self-Control as his boyfriend. (Plenty of Mel-based dirty words, if you’re of a sensitive nature…and an end beat that is REALLY un-P.C., so don’t say I didn’t warn you.) (more…)

How to Win a Debate Every Time

I just came across this.

Feel free to use it when someone has made their point, and it’s annoying:

NBC Goes Homo

Friday, July 9th, 2010

NBC’s Today Show announced that they are opening their “Modern Wedding Contest” up to same-sex couples getting married. Needless to say, the Comments section of an online site announcing this news has received a lot of feedback from the Intolerant Backwash of America.

But there was one comment that held my attention — from someone named “Hannah,” whose fundamental opinion I obviously don’t agree with. However, even though her underlying belief is not one I can support, there is a clear-headedness to her conclusion that is rather astonishing:

Well, what did you expect me to post for Pride weekend?

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

There aren’t that many things that leave me speechless. But this ad for French television from the soft drink company Orangina is so weird on so many levels. And then it’s gay. (more…)

After Lost

Friday, June 25th, 2010

This is going to be one of those spiritual-philosophical posts, so forewarned is fore-whatevered. I just watched the finale of “Lost” again. It’s a good thing I’m writing, because I’m speechless.

But it was hard to understand the full scope of it, while in the midst of trying to figure out the parameters. And now that I know the frame, watching the picture a second time has been extraordinary. Particularly on the other side of my sister’s death.

Hi. I’m so busy with end-of-term schoolwork that I have nothing to say. But the following image would leave me with nothing to say anyway. Blows my mahhhhhhhhnd.

Sleep Talkin’ Man

Friday, January 8th, 2010

I’ve just discovered something that will take me a while to process.

It seems there’s this guy in England who talks in his sleep. He’s apparently quite mild-mannered during the day (he’s ENGLISH, okay?). But his wife writes down everything he says in his sleep. And she posts them on this blog.

Here are a few samples:

He Mrazzle-dazzled Me

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Jason Mraz has written something quite wonderful about equal rights on his blog.

I like it so much that I’ve decided to reprint it in full right here. Enjoy:

As a straight man I really have nothing to gain by standing up for equal rights for Gays, Lesbians, Bisexual, and/or my Transgender friends. Except for the fact that I have many friends who are still subjected to hurtful comments by a society that hasn’t yet embraced fully the nature of… nature.
