I Am There

I really don’t know what’s going on over there in France. Don’t they know that there’s supposed to be a degree of covertness when applying the “sex sells” formula? Mais non.
And the bear is a little too buff and unclad for me. I guess I don’t go for bears. But the dancing’s pretty good…
There aren’t that many things that leave me speechless. But this ad for French television from the soft drink company Orangina is so weird on so many levels. And then it’s gay. (more…)
This is going to be one of those spiritual-philosophical posts, so forewarned is fore-whatevered. I just watched the finale of “Lost” again. It’s a good thing I’m writing, because I’m speechless.
I believe I made an entry after this first aired, and I don’t believe I understated its impact, emotionally and spiritually. But it was hard to understand the full scope of it, while in the midst of trying to figure out the parameters. And now that I know the frame, watching the picture a second time has been extraordinary. Particularly on the other side of my sister’s death.
Very ’60s, very French New Wave. Love it.
I’ve started writing this about a half hour into the show, and so far none of the camera work is sending me apoplectic…good job working it out, Nikki New-Director.
The first dance, with Cristina and Pasha, was very good. That girl really does have a lot to offer, especially since she’s more a ballroom girl than a contemp dancer. Is it terrible of me, however, that I’m most fascinated watching her try and cover up her invisible braces with her lips…but then she can’t help herself and busts into a big smile when they compliment her? Yeah, I know…how freakin’ superficial of me.
Okay, now that La Pequeña Amy Winehouse’s videos have been removed from YouTube (bastards!), there is solace to be had with…Old Lady Gaga.
Words can hardly describe…Enjoy: (more…)
I watched five of the clips from last week’s “So You Think You Can Dance” like seven times. Some crazy good stuff.
And here’s something altogether different, though dancey in its own way. I was never a huge fan of “Newsies,” but I do like it like this. Enjoy: (more…)
Well, who’s yer daddy? I guess I called tonight’s cast-off, din’t I? Alexie was much more appealing in her tribute clips than she was dancing in competition, so buh-bye sweetie. Not that that tapper girl is all that much a step up. Cristina, on the other hand, deserves to stay around a while.
